General Terms and Conditions

1. These terms supersede all previous agreements.
2. Gift vouchers have a non-redeemable cash value.
3. We do not accept liability for damage or injury through misuse of products purchased.
4. We reserve the right to charge interest at 3% compound per day after 28 days for overdue accounts.
5. Customers are required to notify us within two working days of any shortages or damages to their deliveries. Any notifications after this time cannot be dealt with as insufficient time will be afforded to us to investigate the claim. Any customer requesting goods to be left safe are accepting full liability and cost of goods and no claim can be brought to Hurricane or its suppliers for missing or partially delivered items.
6. Where parcels are delivered by courier, if the outer packaging is visibly damaged, the customer is requested to sign for the goods stating that the parcel was damaged. This will not affect customers statutory rights to a reasonable opportunity to examine the goods contained.
7. Designs and colour schemes may vary due to the manufacture and/or dye process of some items from time to time.
8. Refusal of goods at the time of delivery will result in full postal charges being incurred by the customer. This includes sending back to source, except where the 7 day cooling off period is applicable.
9. Debt collecting agencies or court charges will be passed to the customer.
10. Investigation of missing or delayed parcels will be pursued through normal channels before compensation is considered.
11. Where an item is to be returned where the customer is not at fault, postage reimbursement is limited to £4.25 in respect of the returned parcel.
12. Under the Sale and Supply of Goods Act 1994, we will always offer a refund, exchange, credit note or repair service where goods are not of satisfactory quality, fit for their purpose or have been mis-described.
13. Refunds are discretionary and are based upon circumstances of each case. Customers will receive their payments or credit notes depending on circumstances. This does not affect your statutory rights.
14. Goods are subject to availability. We reserve the right to alter specifications and/or products without notification.
15. Third party cheques are not accepted.
16 An administration charge will be applicable (minimum of £10) at the discretion of the company where necessary e.g. account information for insurance purposes, tax, solicitor etc (not inc. p&p)
17. Any charges incurred in respect of bounced cheques, i.e. returned or represented, will be passed to the customer, this is subject to a minimum charge of £10 per bounced cheque.
18. The title in all goods will remain the property of Hurricane or its suppliers until such time as payment is received in full.
19. Prices are subject to alteration without prior notice
20. The customer has no right to exchange or refund in respect of Videos, Books, DVD's or CD's unless defective, not fit for its purpose or not as described. Any exchange will be for an identical title to be negotiated with the customer.
21. No custom, special or sale item will be accepted for refunds or exchanges unless faulty.
22. Back ordered goods will be dispatched as soon as possible and will not incur additional postal charges.
23. The customer will be entitled to a cooling off period of 7 working days after having received the goods or at any time prior to receiving goods, the cancellation should be notified in writing (includes email). Cancellation does not apply to DVD's CD's audio or video tapes which the customer has unsealed. The cost of returning the product unless faulty, defective or not fit for its purpose will be at the customer's expense.
24. Please note that courier charges may be applicable where customers require goods to be re-directed to an alternate address or where a further delivery attempt has to be made by the courier when the customer has been unavailable to accept the goods.
25. Customers should be aware that we do not operate on a sale or return basis. This does not affect your statutory rights.
26. On request we provide a next day delivery service (Inland only, excluding highlands of Scotland). If placed before 12:30pm Monday to Friday your order will arrive the next working day (excluding public holidays and circumstances permitting). If your order is placed on the weekend and you have requested a next day delivery service your order will arrive on Tuesday.
27. Returns can not be processed on a weekend.
28. When receiving your delivery, please check your order carefully and in line with paragraph 5 above.
29. Please note we can not accept the return of hakama if the stitching has been removed.
30. If you wish to return large items i.e. matting, punch/filled bags and heavy items please contact us first.
31. If a card has been left at a delivery premises, failure to act upon the card will result in a re-delivery charge (where applicable).
32. Please consult our website for full item descriptions. Hurricane will not be held responsible for goods incorrectly ordered.
33. Please note that it is required by law to supply an official copy of your passport, drivers licence or birth certificate proving you are over the age of 18 years old for orders containing weapons.
34. Please note that filled vinyl punch bags, judo / crash mats and mat trolleys are subject to extra postage charges and are not included in our free delivery service.
35. The customer will be entitled to a cooling off period of 7 working days after having received the goods or at any time prior to receiving goods as per our terms and conditions. This excludes DVD’s, videos, books and special offer items.
36. All prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable unless stated otherwise.
37. Where, in spite of its reasonable efforts, Hurricane is unable to perform an obligation due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, it shall not be deemed to be in breach of its contract with the Customer.
38. Next day delivery items weighing less than 1000 grams will be sent by Royal Mail First Class. Royal Mail 1st Class as per terms and conditions stated under www.royalmail.com concerning delivery promises and insurance allowances.
39. The customer will be responsible for any local taxes that are enforced in that country. Hurricane takes no responsibility for these extra charges. If you are unsure, please contact your local tax office before placing your order.

Legal Information

The Hurricane Martial Arts Limited collects any personally identifying information during site registration. In addition Hurricane may use such information for editorial or feedback purposes.
Hurricane maintains this Internet site as a service to the Internet community. Access and use are subject to the terms and conditions and all applicable laws. We reserve the right to alter the terms and conditions without prior notification.
Hurricane will make all reasonable efforts to ensure that the information supplied is accurate and up-to-date, but makes no warranties or representations as to its accuracy.
The products and services displayed on this site is an offer subject to acceptance of these terms and conditions and represents the agreement in its entirety and supersedes any and all other communications, prior, contemporaneous or subsequent, any course of performance of course of dealing, except as modified by a written agreement signed by an authorised officer of the company or any subsequent revision of this posting.
